There Is A Light That Never Goes Out

I figured the best way to start things off is to share something from one of my favorite books, Atlas Shrugged. It’s a quote about having the desire to live life with such burning passion that it transforms the world. It seems most appropriate because more than anything, the purpose of this blog is to serve as my North Star, burning for me in the advent of self-doubt.

Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark in the hopeless swamps of the not-quite, the not-yet, and the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish in lonely frustration for the life you deserved and have never been able to reach. The world you desire can be won. It exists.. it is real.. it is possible.. it’s yours.

Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged
